what is [sT]?

sociallyTangent has been a lot of things: a band, a design group, a testing site, and even just hosting for a few bloggers. My friend Jeremy and his brother Jason came up with the name years ago for their band. They asked me to create a website, so I promptly started on one—but no sooner had I uploaded a placeholder page for the domain than the band broke up. I had fronted the money for the domain registration, and no one else wanted the name, so I took it over. Previous sites include geocities, EIAD.net, and a few abortive attempts at branching out to other domains.

I've lost count (well, it's in the 20s somewhere) of how many redesigns I've done. I've learned a lot about friendships, web development, and usability through building those redesigns, but this one should stick around for awhile so it can be useful.
